Itility Data Factory at Amber

Amber provides eco-friendly car sharing: renting electric cars on a pay-per-minute basis. Cars can be picked up and dropped off at strategically positioned hubs — there are currently 46 hubs in the Netherlands, of which one is our own Itility head office at Flight Forum 3360.

Together with Amber, Itility has developed a prediction algorithm for the daily hub-replenishment activities. This runs on the Itility Data Factory, so that every 6 hours the Amber operators receive a prediction of the required number of cars per hub for the next shift. With that, each hub can be supplied with the correct number of Amber cars. Faulty replenishments increase costs heavily, since in that case taxi’s need to be used to transport the customers.

  • Ongoing data model retraining for most accurate predictions
  • Predictions embedded in the day to day Operator workflow
  • Continuous data flow from Amber data and external data sources

  • Reference visit and demo available
  • Runs on Azure Cloud
